Jonas St. Michael

biography

Jonas St. Michael was born in Montreal and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University. His photographic work explores the nature of representation and touches upon concerns and observations about his immediate cultural surroundings. Although his projects are diverse, they share a common theme inasmuch as they attempt to communicate a social reality while addressing, self-reflexively, the area between truth and fiction in representational imagery. Jonas completed a Master of Fine Arts degree at Goldsmiths, University of London and has upcoming exhibitions in London and New York City.
